the thrill of evangelization
“The time came when He Who had set me apart before I was born and called me by His favor chose to reveal His Son to me.” —Galatians 1:15-16
Some of those persecuting the Church will soon be preaching the faith they tried to destroy (see Gal 1:23). People mad at God and others for not helping them will accept God’s correction and make great acts of faith (cf Lk 10:40 and Jn 11:27). All around us, in quiet and dramatic ways, people are converting.
You can be part of this greatest of miracles, the miracle of salvation, by:
- repenting of your sins, being baptized, and accepting Jesus as Lord (Acts 2:38),
- praying and fasting fervently for persecutors and sinners,
- being a witness for Jesus by sharing your faith, and
- taking up your cross daily and suffering for love of Jesus (Lk 9:23).
Jesus continues to catch lots of fish — big fish (see Jn 21:11). To fish with Him and to be part of the life-changing excitement of His saving grace and love, we need only have faith and love enough to lower our nets for a catch (see Lk 5:4). Don’t miss out on life by missing out on conversion and evangelization. Share your faith.
Prayer: Father, fill me with joy over one repentant sinner (Lk 15:7, 10).
Promise: “Truly You have formed my inmost being; You knit me in my mother’s womb. I give You thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made.” —Ps 139:13-14
Praise: St. Bruno gave up the opportunity to live a highly visible life as an archbishop in order to pursue quiet, humble living in a hermitage.
