Week 40 — Jesus' Second Coming

"The Lord Himself will come down from heaven at the word of command, at the sound of the archangel's voice and God's trumpet; and those who have died in Christ will rise first. Then we, the living, the survivors, will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Thenceforth we shall be with the Lord unceasingly. Console one another with this message." —1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

Sunday

"Those times will be more distressful than any between God's work of creation and now, and for all time to come. Indeed, had the Lord not shortened the period, not a person would be saved." —Mk 13:19-20

Conversation:

Abba: Child, do not fear; I am with you always even unto the end of the world (Mt 28:20). Yes, the end will be worse than the world wars, the concentration camps, and the atom bombings, but I will never forsake you (Is 49:15). Faith in Me is and will be all that you have.
Child: Abba, if I don't trust You now, what will happen to me later?
Abba: Trust Me now.

Response:

Trust not in your own understanding (Prv 3:5).

Monday

"Those who have done right shall rise to live; the evildoers shall rise to be damned." —Jn 5:29

Conversation:

Abba: Child, there is a hell, whether you believe in it or not. If I had My way, there would be no one in hell. But some people choose to go there. All must have freedom so they can love.
Child: Abba, I will do anything to avoid hell.
Abba: Love Me even if there were no hell.

Response:

Trust your entire life to Abba through Jesus in the Spirit.

Tuesday

"Let no one seduce you, no matter how. Since the mass apostasy has not yet occurred nor the man of lawlessness been revealed..." —2 Thes 2:3

Conversation:

Abba: Child, at the end, large numbers of Christians will forsake Me. "Because of the increase of evil, the love of most will grow cold" (Mt 24:12). It will be a time of unprecedented confusion and unfaithfulness. Open your heart to the truth and you will be spared (2 Thes 2:10).
Child: Abba, what will I do when the Antichrist comes?
Abba: Child, commit your life to Me and thereby accept My name and My Son's name on your forehead (Rv 14:1). Because of your faith in Me, you will not sell out to the worldly system and accept the mark of the beast (Rv 13:16-17).

Response:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart" (Prv 3:5).

Wednesday

"How holy in your conduct and devotion, looking for the coming of the day of God and trying to hasten it! Because of it, the heavens will be destroyed in flames and the elements will melt away in a blaze." —2 Pt 3:11-12

Conversation:

Abba: Child, do all you can to hasten the day of My Son's second coming. Try to accelerate the time for the everlasting family reunion. Repentance, evangelization, sanctification, and intercession are needed.
Child: Abba, when the whole earth burns up, what happens to me?
Abba: The Holy Spirit will raise you (Rm 8:11).

Response:

Trust that "nothing is impossible with God" (Lk 1:37).

Thursday

"I saw the dead, the great and the lowly, standing before the throne. Lastly, among the scrolls, the book of the living was opened. The dead were judged according to their conduct as recorded on the scrolls." —Rv 20:12

Conversation:

Abba: Child, rejoice that your name is written in the book of life (Lk 10:20). When I separate the sheep from the goats, you will "inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world" (Mt 25:34). Because of your love, have confidence on the day of judgment (1 Jn 4:17).
Child: Abba, may I not judge anyone, but give and receive mercy. Forgive me for my sins.

Response:

Trust is what is needed (Lk 8:50).

Friday

"See, He comes amid the clouds! Every eye shall see Him, even of those who pierced Him." —Rv 1:7

Conversation:

Abba: Child, you don't know the day or the hour. My Son will come when you least expect Him (Mt 24:36, 44). What a sight to see Him amid the clouds!
Child: Abba, I want to be ready, working for Your kingdom, and telling the good news to the poor (Lk 4:18; 12:43).

Response:

Trust in the Lord's forgiveness through Confession.

Saturday

"The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!' Let him who hears answer, 'Come!' Let him who is thirsty come forward; let all who desire it accept the gift of life-giving water." —Rv 22:17

Conversation:

Abba: Child, the angels are hushed, the saints are whispering, creation groans and is in agony (Rm 8:22). Heaven and earth stand suspended. My Son Jesus is about to come. The Spirit cries, "Come." The Church cries, "Come!"
Child: Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! After all is subjected to Him, He will subject Himself to You, then You will be all in all (1 Cor 15:28). Maranatha!

Response:

Jesus: "I am coming soon."
Child: Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! (Rv 22:20)

Trust Jesus.
