Hope and Healing Through Aborted Children

"We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him." —Romans 8:28

"Chemical products, intrauterine devices and vaccines which, distributed with the same ease as contraceptives, really act as abortifacients in the very early stages of the development of the life of the new human being." —The Gospel of Life, Pope John Paul II, 13

"Despite the increase of sin, grace has far surpassed it, so that, as sin reigned through death, grace may reign by way of justice leading to eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord." —Romans 5:20-21

There are well over 12 million pregnancies per year in the USA. The actual number of pregnancies may be 3-5 million higher. However, we cannot obtain exact figures, primarily because of early abortions resulting from use of "the pill," Norplant, Depo-Provera, the IUD, and other abortifacient "contraceptives." But it is safe to say that over 12 million pregnancies occur per year in the USA. Three million of these pregnancies result in normal birth. One and one-half million are surgically aborted. This means that at least 7½ million babies are chemically aborted annually in the USA, depending on how many pregnancies and miscarriages there actually are. Thus, three out of four (or possibly four out of five) babies are killed by their parents through abortion each year in the USA alone. In the over twenty years of legalized abortion in the USA, there are at least 200 million new "Holy Innocents" (see Mt 2:16), children who have been killed by abortion. Moreover, there are many more "Holy Innocents" in the world. Some countries perform even more abortions than the USA.

These children, continue to exist. They cannot be in hell or purgatory. Therefore, they must be in heaven or in a place unknown to us. Pope John Paul II in his encyclical letter, The Gospel of Life, has said that these children are living "in the Lord" (99). Because these millions of aborted babies are living "in the Lord," they can love, serve, and pray for us. I invite you to ask these children to pray for you and others for whom you are praying. The Lord may choose to work through them to affirm their personhood, to proclaim the resurrection from the dead, to show His mercy on our "culture of death," to affirm the communion of all the saints, and to proclaim His victory. The Lord has often chosen the low-born and the "no-born," the rejected and despised to be instruments of His victory, salvation, healing, and deliverance (see 1 Cor 1:28). For example, Brother André Bessette of Montreal recognized that the Lord wanted to work through St. Joseph, the simple carpenter and foster-father of Jesus. Because of this discernment, many thousands of people received the Lord's healing. Is the Lord doing something like this through the aborted children? Is He "working together for the good" even the worst death toll in history?

Some doctors and researchers want to use the brains, tissues, and body parts of aborted babies to try to heal people with certain diseases. We don't need the parts of these babies, but we may need the prayers of these babies. Ask these children to join you in praying for conversions, miracles, and healings. If possible, refer to your "Holy Innocent" by name. You may see the power and the glory of God as never before. Please write to tell us of the Lord's great works through these new "Holy Innocents".
